Fancy an introduction to Wine Tasting in our atmospheric tunnel system?

Maybe you’ve always wanted to know your Dom Pérignon from your Dom Joly? Or perhaps you already do, but would like to meet like-minded people?

Well here’s your chance as Fort Amherst are proud to announce their inaugural Wine Tasting Event!

This unique evening will be a great way to learn the basics of wine, or add to your wine knowledge. Having made your way through our tunnels to the dramatic Upper Gun Floor, you will taste a selection of seven wines from across the World, including whites, reds and a port. You’ll pick up some tips and tricks of the trade, learn how to taste wine and spot quality as well as enjoy some fun wine challenges … there will even be a quiz to show off your new-found knowledge! A small selection of canapes will be provided to help soak up some of that lovely wine!

Also included in the price is a 30 minute tunnel tour, starting sharp at 6.30 p.m. led by one of our experienced and entertaining guides as you make your way through the candle lit Tunnel Complex to the Upper Gun Floor for the tasting.

There are limited places available (over 18’s only) so book your tickets in advance online as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as there will be no tickets sold on the night.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable (unless cancelled by Fort Amherst).

Important: When booking tickets please use reference Tasting-16/04/16

Travelling to the Fort by car? Then why not leave it overnight in our locked car park, grab a taxi home and pick it up the following day (we accept no responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur while your car is in our car park).
