Fort Amherst has several venues which are available for hire.

Whether you wish to hold a celebration, corporate event or even hire the Fort as a film location we would live to hear from you.

From box-office hits like Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows or The Darkest Hour – to amateur productions or photo locations, it offers amazing shooting opportunities.

Few locations can offer the perfect back-drop for such a variety of productions. Imagine how you could creatively use: caves and tunnels; a soldiers’ barracks; cannon and fortifications; or even a Grand Magazine and Gate house. Not to mention atmospheric ruins, well-tended lawns and ‘rougher’ grassland.
