Our brand new interactive tour experiencing Christmas through the ages.

We start during World War 2 and travel through Victorian and Napoleonic finally ending with the tradition of Wassailng.

 Come and discover how the tunnels were used during Napoleonic times for shelter, storage and defence. Also, discover the strategic role that the tunnels of Fort Amherst played during World War II as a base of operations.

18th & 19th January 2025

  Portraying the Confederate 2nd Kentucky Regiment during the siege of Fort Donelson during the winter of 1861/62.

This is a free to visit re-enactment.

15th February - 23rd February 2025

Our new children's trail for 2025.  Help us find the seven bees hidden around the Fort whilst learning all about the bees and how they work in the hive.

Upgrade and you can meet the beekeeper too!

  Our experienced guides will show you around Fort Amherst telling stories about the unexplained happenings here...You will be actively hunting and connecting with the spirits that inhabit the tunnels and other buildings within the fort...

 Go back to the 1940s and witness our World War II soldiers practicing their drill and having their kit inspected.  Feel free to join us in costume to add to the event.

20th & 21st April 2025

 On Easter Sunday and Monday, the historic tunnels of Fort Amherst will be transformed into a child-friendly fantasy world of make believe and science fiction.

Join us for a unique experience meeting the Fort Amherst bees.

The experience lasts approximately 3 hours and includes a lunch in the Pantry.
